Please find details about my workshops for term 3 2014 at the Taylors Hill Neighborhood House below.

While I pre-plan all of my workshops to ensure we cover all of the relevant topics in an effective and engaging way, I tweak the programs to suit individual groups' skills and interests.

There is also lots of time for questions.

Please note that the Pro GamerS (PGS) computer gaming group now runs from 4pm to 6pm on Friday afternoons. To book you or your child's place for term 3 2014 (beginning 18 July), please call Melton Youth Services on 9747 5421.

Blogging and Social Media Workshops - Term 1, 2014

My workshops at the Taylors Hill Neighborhood House will be continuing in term 1 of 2014.

The first is a seven-week course on creating and maintaining a blog. I will guide you through the process of registering your account; choosing what to write about; creating your blog; changing how it looks; writing and editing regular posts; attracting visitors and keeping them engaged so they become a stable readership; and tracking your site visits and popular posts to maximise your hits so your blog appears on the top of the major search engines.

This leads directly into a social media based workshop where I will give you an overview of the most popular social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ and others, depending on participants' interests. I will then guide you through the process of creating accounts for the most relevant social media networks and generating an online presence.

For more information or to book your place in these workshops, please contact the Taylors Hill Neighborhood house on 9747 7200, or send an email taylorshillhouse@melton.vic.gov.au

Thanks for visiting and please feel free to give this information to anyone who might be interested in joining.

Cheers,
Emanuel

A re-imagining

Not only am I struggling to find time to post on the topics I intended this blog to cover, but also I don’t feel qualified to speak in the depth this blog, and you, the reader, deserve.

So, I’m re-imagining this site as a platform to share my experience as an emerging writer. While I won’t post the details of everything I’m doing (my life isn’t that interesting and this isn’t a diary after all), I will mention the stories I’m working on, and those I’ve submitted to competitions and publications.

I hope you check back regularly to see where my stories and I are at, and for snippets of my favourite stories. After all, this is a blog all about the writing and only a little about me :)

Thanks for reading and, as always, your comments are most welcome,
Emanuel
